By far the greatest tactic I’ve tried!! You just keep on winning with it, almost feels like cheating.. Based on a diamond formation..

I tried it with my wolves team, it took me from 17th place with half the season gone to 5th when it ended.. 16 victories at the last 18 games… Incredible!!

I wanted to create a tactic based on Alex Ferguson’s rigid 4-4-2 style. The aim was to create a tactic where everyone in the team has a specific role to play and sticks to that mind set for the match. You have 2 full backs whose job is primarily to defend. A stopper CB and a cover CB. 1 attacking central midfielder whose job is to get forward whenever possible and one defensive midfielder who is an absolute machine but primarily sits in front of the back four and protects the team against attacks through the middle. Wingers aim is to create and score with 1 striker pulling deep to support attacks and 1 striker sitting on the last man who should score 75% of the teams goals.

This formation has been awesome for me at all levels, won 2 La Liga titles with Athletico Madrid, 2 Premiership titles with Arsenal and a Champions League. Then tried with lower teams and got Rotherham promoted 2 seasons in a row from League 2 and 1. Then won the Championship with Sheff Utd. And have won Conference with Crawley Town. Give it a try and let me know how you get on…

Credit to Chris Edwards who has made this tactic.

Tug’s famous traing schedules that has been around the FM community since 2005, is now back with his great schedule for FM10. This is a great schedule, and according to me one of the most important things for succes in the FM world.

If you put the right players with the right schedule your players will grow way faster than with the normal training regimes.

You may want to tamper with it a bit though because some youngsters don’t like them, but everyone else does!!

Hope this helps

P.S. To access go into your training in FM. Click on manage schedules, then import. Then import it from wherever you saved it

Attack Defence – Attacking defenders
Defence – Defenders
Keeper – Goalkeepers
Midfielders – Generally Central Midfielders, not attacking midfielders
Attackers – Attacking midfielders, Wingers, Forwards
Striker – Strikers

This tactic has won me 4 consecutive trebles with Notts County in the premier league and got me all the way to the premiership.

Very good for scoring lots of goals my striker scored 35 in 30 league goals and topped the european scoring list by 20 points.
